Important notice: Our fees were changed on January 1st 2026 to better reflect the value and care you receive at Self Physiotherapy.

Accessing expert and quality pelvic and reproductive health physiotherapy services is a barrier for most people. And it can be confusing to know what you need. We have endeavoured to make the process as simple as possible offering enough appointment types to suit your needs, but not so many it can be overwhelming.

If the available appointment times do not work for you, please get in contact so we can assist you.

  • This is our standard initial appointment for all new clients. It is designed to address any pelvic floor or musculoskeletal concerns and involves development of an individualised plan focused on your goals. This appointment time is also appropriate for antenatal concerns, assessing your baseline before birth, and birthing preparation.

    • Pelvic Pain assessment and management

    • Bladder or bowel dysfunction, prolapse, pre/post gynaecological surgery, transfeminine/vaginoplasty

    • Prenatal, Antenatal or postnatal assessment/concerns

    • Menopause related concerns

    • Musculoskeletal concerns

  • This appointment is for postnatal assessments for returning clients to Self Physiotherapy. It will include an in-depth postnatal assessment that assesses strength, coordination and function of the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles.

  • Our standard follow-up for all current patients. Includes review of your progress and goals, and altering any treatment plans on the go.

    This follow up appointment also reflects mastitis review appointments.

  • Our extended time follow-up for complex concerns of current clients. This appointment is also applicable for postnatal assessments for returning clients to Self Physiotherapy or patients who would like a longer time to focus on added education or assist in addressing all their questions and concerns.

  • This appointment is dedicated to the client who has been diagnosed with a pelvic organ prolapse and has considered and discussed a pessary as a treatment option for symptoms management. It includes fitting and appropriate education for self management.

  • Note: Mastitis review - 30mins: $95

    This appointment is dedicated to all those who may be affected by breast/chest milk blockages or symptoms of mastitis. It includes assessment, education and treatment with therapeutic ultrasound as well as appropriate manual therapy. As these conditions are considered emergency, please contact us if you are unable to find an online appointment time, as we can see you outside of hours.

REBATES

health rebates are dependent on your policy and vary. please discuss with your healthcare provider information regarding your appointment rebate.

Please bring your private health card if you wish to access your rebate on the day of your appointment.

Health Care Card and Student Card holders receive 10% off appointment costs.

We accept EPC/TCA/CDC plans through your GP for Medicare funded rebates

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Life has no plan, and regardless of your situation there are times it is “out of your hands”. Please provide 24-hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. A cancellation fee applies to cancellations or rescheduled appointments within the 24 hour window, or if you fail to attend your appointment. Our cancellation fee is 50% of the booked appointment cost.

    This cost is not claimable by your private health provider.

    In the event of physiotherapist sickness, or unplanned circumstance, a scheduled session may be cancelled. If this were to happen, we will reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. There will be no charge if your session is cancelled by us.

  • The client’s electronic signature & tick on the ‘Client Information form’ electronically confirms the client has read and understood the terms and conditions lined out on this page and in our ‘Privacy Policy’.

    Assessments and examinations are carried out in a private and secure environment. Detailed questions will be asked of your concern and medical history, and an internal examination may be offered with your consent. If you feel uncomfortable about any form of examination, you have the right to bring a support person with you.

    Due to the nature of your concern, there may be personal questions asked. You have the right to refuse discussing topics if you feel uncomfortable.

    You have the right to verbally refuse any treatment or assessment. You may withdraw your consent at any stage. As per guidelines and recommendations, you will be provided with the appropriate risks, benefits and alternative options to your assessment and treatments in order to make informed decisions for the management of your presenting concern. Clients under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by a legal guardian, or parent, for pelvic floor examinations.

  • Payment for your appointment is due on the day of your appointment. We accept card payments and, on request, bank transfer. Should your private health card not work on the day, a payment in full will be needed and you will receive an invoice allowing you to claim your private health rebate manually.

    If you are late to your appointment, the appointment will begin at your arrival and finish at the scheduled end time. With consent and pending availability, if you prefer to have the full time allocated to your appointment, you may be charged for the extra time we spend.

    Our clinic does not tolerate discrimination, aggression, or bullying. If we consider your manner to be dangerous, inappropriate, or unsafe, we may stop the session and discontinue it. You will still be liable to pay the fee.
